Random ramblings from my beer soaked melon about politics, religion, sex, stupidities, nature, and any other subject that penetrates the haze. Sometimes crude and not for the faint of heart or people with normal intelligence, or an abundance of common sense.

LAY CONVICTIONS
Money is in some respects life's fire: it is a very excellent servant, but a terrible master.
P. T. Barnum

Well, thank God or whoever for legal precedent.
Ken Lay as many of you know used to run ENRON.
He was convicted of conspiracy and fraud when Enron went tits up and robbed all of employee’s of their jobs and pensions. Not to mention the money other rich fucks invested in the pie in the sky promises of the company.
If you are convicted your assets are forfeit to your creditors. The only trouble is that the people who lost everything they had are at the bottom of the list while the afore mentioned Rich Fucks who lost a small percentage of their investment capital get first dibs, after the Feds get their cut that is.
There is a legal precedent that says, if you die all bets are off and your heirs get to keep the money.
Well Gee, a strange thing happened after the conviction. Ken Lay died of heart disease. Who knew he had one. Makes me wish I believed in Hell.
The Feds are pissed and everyone else ripped off is too, because a Federal judge just ruled that Lay’s conviction is vacated.
The family is happy with the ruling. Duh, no shit. They just sucked up 44 Million of the money he stole.
Guess they won’t be going to Monster.com to look for a job now.
My question is was it one too many rich meals or maybe his family really didn’t want to polish their résumés?

I can’t be full of shit all the time.

MY NEW COMPUTER IS CAMERA SHY

I got a new computer so my 15 year old could have my old one that has enough power for him to play World Of Warcraft and have a place to put his writing. He's pretty good with Horror stories. Of course he and his brother have been after me to start playing WOW so we could do something together without actually going outside. I'm sticking to that story because I'm a saint.

So I had to get a fast system because my laptops graphics are not good enough to play.
Go here to see what it is about.

Now you know where I've been for a few days. The picture was taken while I was reading my favorite blogs.
Oh by the way, my best character is a female Mage named Phen. There are only a couple of people out here who might be able to figure out where I came up with that name.
I'm trying to get in touch with my female side.
She kills real good. :)

BLOGGING BLASPHEMY
We are all going to hell.

At least according to Kevin D. Denee of the Restored Church of God's Ambassador Youth magazine.

The article is a little long winded but it gives an interesting look at the beliefs held by some.

http://www.thercg.org/youth/articles/0403-bagy.html

They say that you can support any opinion with selective quoting from the bible, but this is a little bit of a stretch.

Oh well, one post closer to dancing with the devil.

TURNING PAGES
I am not part of the problem. I am a Republican.
Dan Quayle

Well, Mark Foley has finally been ratted out by someone.
I know you must have heard about is hobby of making improper advances to Congressional Pages using E-mails and Instant Messages.
Most of the leadership in the House knew about it. , some for as long as five years. The Page who spoke of it said they were warned about Foley, but other pages are coming forward and saying they were never warned.
Now there is a call building up for Speaker Hastert to resign because he knew about the inappropriate actions and covered it up. The rumor is that he will stay Speaker of the house through the end of the year, though depending on the election results he may not have a choice anyway.
I can’t help thinking that if one gay Representative is acting this way with 16 and 17 year old boys, what is happening with the female Pages and all those old Horn dogs up there. I also wonder if he ever managed to meet alone with any of the boys.
Foley and his legal team are going full bore into his defense. They aren’t very original though.
I am an alcoholic and have gone into rehab for that and some emotional difficulties.
I was abused as a teenager by a clergyman. Though he refuses to give details.
Next he might claim that he was beaten and abused by his parents when he was a child.
The FBI is investigating to see if any Federal laws were broken.
Speaker Hastert has asked the Justice Department to investigate, and the Florida police are investigating too. I would think that anyone that knew about this should be charged too.
Hastert seems more concerned with who leaked the e-mails than whit Foley’s actions.
Tony Snow, White House Press Secretary said it was a case of some naughty e-mails.
Matt Drudge is claiming that the Pages egged him on.
Most original though, is the subtle way Fox News has tried to protect the Republicans.

They ran several times, updates on the story with a box below Foley with his name and listing him as a Democrat from Florida.
They really know what they are doing up there at the Capitol. Even though they knew of his inappropriate actions he was appointed co-chairman of the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children’s Caucus, where he helped write the law that he may have violated.
I find it very hard to believe that there is such a thing as a gay Republican Congressman in the first place.
It’s going to be an interesting election this year.

ALL THE NEWS THAT'S FIT TO PRINT
I have mixed feelings about this first one but I do think they saved a lot of money for the court and prison systems.

MIAMI - A fugitive gunman accused of killing a Florida sheriff’s deputy was shot 68 times by SWAT team officers who found him hiding in the woods, according to autopsy results.
Police fired 110 shots at Angilo Freeland, 27, the target of a massive manhunt in central Florida following the shooting death of Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Williams Thursday.
“That’s all the bullets we had, or we would have shot him more,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper.
Judd said Williams was “executed” after Freeland was pulled over in a routine traffic stop on Thursday. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed.
Williams, 39, was shot eight times—one bullet fired at close range behind the deputy’s right ear and another in his right temple, according to autopsy results released on Saturday by the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff’s officials said SWAT team members found Freeland on Friday hiding under a fallen oak tree in a wooded area near where the deputies were shot, and began firing when they saw a gun in his hand.

I guess he shouldn't have shot that dog.

This link has an interesting perspective on the bills that have been passed by the Gump toadies in the House and Senate stripping the powers from the third branch of the government, you know the judges that are supposed to keep the others in line.
Follow the link and read it.

This next one highlights the way the government spends your money. I think it’s a lot worse now than back then.

When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300ºC.
The Russians used a pencil.

Gee I just watched Enemy of the State with Will Smith and Gene Hackman.
I think someone is watching me now.

I'm on vacation!
