    Why did I sit here and read all of this?

    The Jeep thing isn't true, there's a dispute about the origin. Some say it was that, and others say it was from a Popeye comic strip that had a character named Jeep. I saw that on Mail Call.

    Jeep was an alien sorta dude that Popeye adopted. He was a little freaky. I saw it on a cartoon I didn't know there were comics that youngsters would know about. I do think that Jeep was the name of the military transport before it ever showed up on Popeye.
