The newest rumor is that Dick (The Shooter) Cheney will retire sometime after the 2006 elections. The first question that came to mind was, retire from public service or Halliburton?
Turns out it is as Vice President (aptly named job title) so Halliburton will still have their cash cow.
I guess there has been a failure to communicate between his people and the President’s people. He didn’t even tell them about his little hunting adventure for 18 hours. He will have to defend himself against charges from his former chief of staff, Lewis (Scooter) Libby that Cheney ordered him to relay classified information, that could even result in impeachment proceedings. His approval rating is down to 18% and Bush is at 34%.
If he is quitting it opens some interesting possibilities. Who would Forrest pick to take his place? Well who will be available at the end of the year?
I didn’t realize that Jeb Bush will be unemployed when his current term as Florida Governor ends. Hummmm.
Gonna be an interesting year.
