Random ramblings from my beer soaked melon about politics, religion, sex, stupidities, nature, and any other subject that penetrates the haze. Sometimes crude and not for the faint of heart or people with normal intelligence, or an abundance of common sense.

NEWSYNESS
It's like something out of that "twilighty" show about that zone.
Homer Simpson

Senate building cleared after powder found.
Police found a suspicious powder in the attic of a Senate Russell office building. Hazardous material teams and firefighters were dispatched after a sensor tested positive for a dangerous substance. A second test was negative, and they decided to do a third test for more conclusive results.
Let’s see, they get a negative and a positive result so they do a third test. What are they hoping for, maybe?
There was no indication of a nerve agent. So what was it, baby powder?
I think someone stumbled across the Senate stash of coke and over reacted. Now they are trying to minimize the coverage and get back to business as usual.
Some of the actions and statements that have come out of the senate lately seem to support the notion that the whole Congress stays stoned most of the time.

First Lt. William “Eddie” Rebrook IV served his country well in Iraq and was injured badly enough that he had to be discharged. Before he was allowed to separate from the military however he was required to pay $700.00 for the so called bullet proof vest he was issued to him. The last time he saw this vest was when the medics cut it off him when he was being treated for the wounds he sustained in combat. It was later burned as it was contaminated with his blood. The medical unit however forgot to turn in a form accounting for the vest.
Hey, they need that money to buy another toilet seat or hammer. If you think that that kind of pricing is an exaggeration I’m here to tell you after trying to purchase the things my unit needed through the Air Force supply system that it is just the tip of the ice burg. It is more likely that they are desperate for money to pay defense contractors massive cost overruns.

One story that caught my eye was one about 800 Danish websites being hacked by Muslims protesting the cartoons that were published in September. The thing that really caught my eye was the way the article identified the culprits.
They called them Islamic Hackers and my first thought was, who got beheaded this time?
Well just some of the news I found strange today. I’ve stopped reading strange news. The mainstream stuff is even stranger.
