Random ramblings from my beer soaked melon about politics, religion, sex, stupidities, nature, and any other subject that penetrates the haze. Sometimes crude and not for the faint of heart or people with normal intelligence, or an abundance of common sense.

CLEAN AND BORING
  1. "Do you pray for the Senators, Dr. Hale?" someone asked the chaplain. "No, I look at the Senators and pray for the country."    -- Edward Everett Hale
Do you remember last year? The FCC was very busy fining Howard Stern Janet Jackson and I can’t remember who else, but there were a lot of them.

The FCC must have strained a regulatory muscle because they have yet to levy one fine in 2005. Gee, no election.

The FCC hasn’t been idle though. There are hundreds of complaints waiting for the commissioners to rule on. They have been busy consulting with the religious right and lining up support in the Congress to extend their authority to dictate standards of conduct to cable channels such as Comedy Central (the Daily Show) and HBO ( Real Time, The Sopranos and a lot of other shows) all have either liberal views or use the same language that occurs in real life. They also want to pretend sex never happens.

If they are successful you will get to go back to the Dick Van Dyke show and other vanilla pap.

I pay $160.00 a month for my cable and broadband connection. I’ll will make it plane to Adelphia that if I can’t have the content that I have become accustomed to I will not pay there price gouging rates.

The cable and satellite industry’s have already put in place systems that allow a parent to block content they don’t want in there homes. On top of that is the V Chip in most Televisions. I think that it is designed to allow outside blocking in addition to its advertised use.

Hey I worked for the government for enough years to know that they are capable of anything.

Punishment From God!
So many Gods, so many creeds, So many paths that wind and wind,When just the art of being kindIs all this sad world needs.
-Ella Wheeler Wilcox

I knew it was only a matter of time. It took longer than I thought but salon.com writes that they have received an expatiation for the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

The Columbia Christians for Life sent an Email to Salon that said that the image of Katrina with the eye already ashore looks (according to the group) like a 6 week old fetus. They claim that it’s Gods punishment for the 10 abortion clinics in the state of Louisiana.

They also say that other states have been punished also.
California with earthquakes, wild fires, and mudslides, New York with 9/11, and Florida with Hurricanes Bonnie, Charley, Frances, Ivan, Jeanne and the early version of Katrina.

Wow! Talk about well reasoned deductions. I guess Global Warming is punishment for internet porn and uncensored cable television.

Well, it will mean more bikinis.

Second Star To The Left And On Till Morning.
If we are going to teach creation science as an alternative to evolution, then we should also teach the stork theory as an alternative to biological reproduction.
Judith Hayes

Santa Clause, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Faerie, Lepracans and their pot of gold, and the Bogyman under my bed.

I believe in all of the above.

There are people who are trying to make me believe that all of the things that they do are done by people or God.

Well I want them all taught in Kansas schools along with Evolution and Creationism.

Of course we will have to cut back on teaching Math and Science not to mention English and any non approved subjects like Art and Music, (other than Christian hymns, or patriotic marching music).

We can't teach the depiction of the human form as we are created in Gods image and He's shy.

Of course, we can't teach Sex Education. Let's face it sex is a myth and the only way to be a good person is through abstinence.

Of course the minute you get your Education and start making money you are free to find the perfect other, and go at it like bunnies to make more good Christian Solders who can fight whatever good fight people like Pat Robertson proclaim as God's will.

I can't go to bed now. I think Pat Robertson and Anne Colter are under my bed and will make me crazy like them. I can almost hear them whispering to me in my sleep.( Love Bush, Kill democratic leaders who oppose Bush.) For the record I have been in love with Bush from the time I knew what it was (Thank you Playboy).

Now this guy who is always on vacation, I think he is bug shit crazy and determined to bring about Armageddon to justify his beliefs.

All of you who voted for Bush/Chainy, a word of advice. Buyer beware!

I should say that this rambling rant is the result of reading about the Cabazon Dinosaurs.
This is a 45 foot concrete Apatosaurus on Interstate 10 near Palm Springs. It seems the attraction has new owners who are really big Intelligent design champions.

They say that the dinosaurs were created at the same time as Adam and Eve and were part of Noah's passenger list during the flood.

There is a $25 Million creationist museum in Petersburg Ky., They are putting evolutionists on notice that they are taking the dinosaurs back.

There are other Jurassic tourist attractions across the country that have been converted to religious dogma.

Peter Pan is my role model and I believe in Tinker bell, and always will.

Europe Is So Primitive
I never expected to see the day when girls would get sunburned in the places they now do.
Will Rogers

Thank God for NAFTA and all the other agreements that our government has entered into that have given the Chinese and other countries that employ slave labor the jobs that we Americans used to do.

The policies that have allowed companies based in the Caribbean for tax purposes to make their products at a fraction of the cost and put the money saved to good use enhancing CEO's and other executives quality of life without doing something as unamerican as passing the savings on to the consumer.

If we lived in Europe right now we would be facing a major shortage in trousers, sweatshirts and worst of all bras from reaching consumers.
You see the European Union has instituted limiting imports of cheap Chinese textiles.

Gee, without our great leaders foresight we might be facing a future where women are forced to go bra less and be forced to wear clothing until it is tattered and revealing.

Poor Europe....

RALLY ROUND THE FLAG BOYS!
When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible but in the end, they always fall - think of it, always.
Mohandas Gandhi

Well, I can dream can’t I?

I have been a little behind the news.

I posted a copy of Cindy Sheehan’s blog because I was a little surprised she has so little hate at what has happened.
Her attackers include:
Drudge,
Bill Oreilly,
Michelle Malkin,
Fred Barnes,
Rush Limbaugh,
and an E-MALE from her son’s Godmother claiming to speak for her in-laws condemning her present actions.
She has been labeled as a “crackpot”, who’s son would not approve of her crazy actions.
Her stand has been described as ”a little bit of a swindle” by Rush Limbaugh. Of course scamming doctors to get multiple prescriptions for meds is the result of an addiction and must be forgiven.
From her blog it seems she’s getting a lot of grass roots support but I know the opportunists are there just as they were during the Teri Shavio disgrace.
If the lights and cameras are there, so come the opportunists to get more free press.
If Bush had invited her into thee ranch she still might be there but she wouldn’t be fast becoming a symbol of all Gold Star Mother’s.
That is the most predictable part of the Bush administration, (or any other in the recent past) They may take credit for something if they can give it a good spin, but under no circumstances take the blame for anything.

I think this, if it keeps going is going to spell the end for a lot of people in Congress who have hitched their wagon to the Bush star. The trouble is all I see around are a bunch of Democrats who are just as bought.

I think I have received the Chinese curse. “May you live in interesting times.”.

Camp Casey: Day 6
Day 6 began early yesterday morning when people in cars drove by our camp a few times and blasted on their horns. I just assume they were blaring their approval of us.
Before we get to the less than negative things that are happening out at Camp Casey and in the world at large, over 700 people showed up at the Camp yesterday. There were more people, flowers, cards, mail, interviews, laughter, heartache, camaraderie, excitement, and just sheer work.
We had the first birthday party last night at our little event. Alicia from Austin turned 17 and they came to Crawford to celebrate with a cake. Alicia said that she wanted to be out here for her birthday. So many great people from so many parts of the country and our world are here.
Yesterday was kind of a blur to me. From running around from interview to interview, to getting a visit from Viggo Mortensen, it was a whirlwind of activity. I have discovered that the White House press corps is always looking for something to do and someone to cover. We have been happy to oblige them. We had a press conference today with Gold Star Families for Peace and Military Families Speak Out members. It was very effective when people who actually have skin in the game ask the president to be held accountable for the words he has actually said.
Still putting out the O''Reilly fires of me being a traitor and using Casey''s name dishonorably, my in-laws sent out a press statement disagreeing with me in strong terms; which is totally okay with me, because they barely knew Casey. We have always been on separate sides of the fence politically and I have not spoken to them since the election when they supported the man who is responsible for Casey''s death. The thing that matters to me is that our family -- Casey''s dad and my other 3 kids are on the same side of the fence that I am.
November 2, 2004 was not George Bush''s accountability moment: today is. We are finished allowing him to get away with deceiving the American public and abusing his power.
We are mad as hell and we''re not taking it anymore.

STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES

I don't like Bush. I don't trust him. I don't like his record. He's stupid. He's lazy.
Cher

I have mixed feelings about this shirt.
If it refers to the Bush administration and all the truly stupid things they have done during the last 4 ½ years then I think it’s funny as hell. However, if they are referring to the American people in general it bothers me even though, or because there is some truth to it.

Well, Bush is on vacation again and the first visitor to Crawford is his coke connection. I thought it funny that the drug war has not been going to well; it never has been a success. Some bright boy came up with a way to maybe reduce the coke demand though. The story is that the terrorists were going to spike the coke sold in America with some deadly poison. Thank the Columbian drug cartel for stopping that attack.

The same strategy is being repeated. Scare the people and they will do what you want. I bet there is going to be some crowing about a reduction in the demand for drugs soon.

I’m just talking out my ass so don’t start the, my country right or wrong blather, it’s never been true and causes more death and misery than any terrorist attacks.

Oh, and about the shirt. I’d bet money some front line grunt thought it up and didn’t get a cent.

This blog really has no point but I did like the shirt.

Tell Me No Secets, Tell Me No Lies.
Eskimo: "If I did not know about God and sin, would I go to hell?" Priest: "No, not if you did not know." Eskimo: "Then why did you tell me?"
Annie Dillard

I don’t understand, maybe I’m stupid.
Maybe,no maybe about it.

Curious George is not to curious now. I guess pretending to be president takes a lot of your brain power.
He is now pushing intelligent design and wants it to be taught in the schools nation wide.
Well it finally happened. The brain damaged children are calling the shots. If you have any so called learning disability don’t tell me how to live because I’ve had all of them except alsimzer’s and that is probably waiting to make a big entrance. I am dislyesic and have ADT. I’m codependent and a facilator. I quit AA because the people were to needy and bragged to much. I think I caught Autism from the T.V. adds.

I am getting tired of other people who are caught up in their own little fantasy world trying to drag me into it and trying to paint me as evil if I don’t conform to their world vision.

Now My Commander And Chief is getting into the game to counteract Sen. First’s little defection from the religious right. He now wants stem cell research.

I am a Veteran, though not one who went through what Longthought or most of the people in service now have gone through.

I try to be a good person and even try on occasion to make other peoples lives a little better. I haven’t murdered anyone lately or even raised my voice to my coworkers who cause me extra work.

However I refuse to give intelligent design even a polite politically correct hearing.

I’m sorry, if you have religious beliefs that are that blind I know I can’t change your mind and will not even try. I know your opinions from years of having them forced on me every time I turn around.

I’ll give you an idea how it has been for me. My mother when I was about 8 became a Mormon and put all of us boys through the training and had us baptized. We did have to tell the Bishop that we understood the teachings and wanted to be baptized. Second one for me as I was a Baptist until then. Well, someone’s commandments say,” Honor your Mother and Father” so I went along with the game.

I finally had to tell the Bishop of Salt Lake to distroy any record of my involvment with the Mormon church just to get the missionarier to stop calling on me all over the country.

I can’t find a way to swallow the intelligent design bull. I would be more willing to accept the view put forward in “Mission To Mars” I Think being a seeding project by a superior race much more believable than “LET THERE BE LIGHT!”.

If God rested on the seventh day he’s a slacker, because so much was left to undone.

Wow! How did I get religion mixed up with politics?
I must be a child of my times.
I guess environment is at least part of evolutionary development. : ).
